These are the web pages of Brian, a guy with varied interests. Two of these are birds and ham radio, which explains the name of the Internet domain which hosts this site.
I have always had an interest in radio especially after a ham moved into my neighborhood during my teen years. I spent many hours listening to Shortwave radio on his receiver. After many years when Morse code was dropped for the entry level exam I became licensed. After upgrading a little while later I was able to talk around the world. One of my first contacts was Japan!
I have always liked birds. They were my alarm clock on many occasions. I now participate in counting birds for the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. We are able to visit a banding station twice a year at Gulf Shores AL and see neotropical migrants and other birds we might not normally see.
I am also a member of the Greater Mobile Bay Area Choral Society (GMBACS)
